The East Texas tornado blew in with little warning and then just as quick left. Soon local TV reporters arrived, microphones in hand. One reporter cornered a dazed homeowner standing in the rubble of what had been his home.
When the reporter noted that this was the third time his house had been destroyed by a tornado, the man said, "It doesn't matter how many times you have been knocked down. What matters is how many times you get back up."
This bit of Texas wisdom reflects what The Buddha said centuries ago when he advised, "Fall down 7 times, get up 8."
