"Every Life makes history and
Every life is a story.
Some time back, Amy at cerebellar stroke recovery posted a question about writing a book. I cannot find that post now, but I did make comments about it on her blog. The comments never got published. Perhaps I slipped up while attempting to post them.
To date I have not had the time to go back and attempt to add these comments to her blog. Perhaps that is why this post has been building up in my head.
The main question I wanted to answer was, as best I recall, "If I were to write a book, would anyone want to read it?"
My answer number one is "yes." I think there are a number of us "strokies" hanging around who read everything they can find when the author is another strokie, someone who has "been there and done that."
Then, Amy, and all you strokies with professional training, there is another advantage you share. You are one of those rare writers who bring two types of expertise to your pages: personal expertise and professional expertise.
So, write on!
My second answer is to view your potential book as a field of dreams. Build it and they will come.
Today with the Amazon self publishing tools, everyone can write and get published.
