When I first had my stroke, I was appalled to find that there was so little information available to guide me and my family through the process of recovery.
To be fair, I was quite out of it the first weeks as my cerebral hemorrhage progressed ever so slowly, with no clue found on CT scans to tell the neurosurgeon where the exact source of bleeding was in the brain. Thus, I entered a prolonged period of watchful waiting.
After days in the ICU the bleeding stopped.
I survived but not all of my neurons did. The entire left side of my body no longer worked.
I had many questions but found few answers. Today I came across a video about the stroke recovery process that I would have loved to have found in those early days after my cerebral hemorrhage.
